Vance Campbell
Vance Campbell was educated locally at the Bishop Spencer and Saltus Grammar Schools. In 1982, he graduated from the Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Cultural Anthropology. He is a Certified Public Accountant with 30 years of post-qualification experience across a wide spectrum of industries, and currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer with SAL Trading Limited.
Vance is a former Chairperson of the Consumer Affairs Board, and currently serves as a member. Along with this, he is also the Deputy Chairperson of the Bermuda Housing Trust. His tenure as the General Manager of the Bermuda Housing Trust from 2003 to 2006 was a testament to his leadership skills and ability to function well in a climate of extreme media scrutiny and intense public interest. He is the current Chair of the Bermuda Progressive Labour Party's Finance Committee.
Through his involvement in community-based organizations, Vance has had the opportunity to positively affect the lives of many young people, families and seniors. He is a past Vice President of the Foster Parents’ Association, a former Club Leader and Chairperson with Young Life Bermuda, a former Executive Member of the Youth Committee of the Young Men’s Social Club, and the current President of the Club. Vance is also a member of the Executive Council of the Bermuda Football Association and has served as a member of the Bermuda Hospitals Board.
In his roles as a Government Senator and Junior Minister for Finance and Public Works, Vance works on behalf of all those who call Bermuda their home. In addition, as a father, his goal, through the legislative process, is to have a positive impact on the Bermuda that our children will inherit. He believes that his education and business backgrounds, along with his work in the community and life experiences, have been the ideal preparation for his involvement in the political process.
Vance’s vast experiences have constantly kept him abreast of the everyday challenges facing individuals and families in Bermuda, both in the past and present.
Vance is married to Viviana and enjoys spending time with family, travelling, and sports.
